Syed Abdul Hakeem is a distinguished philanthropist and experienced business entrepreneur whose vision and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the organization’s journey since its inception. Alongside his social initiatives, he has successfully ventured into and led multiple business enterprises, bringing strong strategic, operational, and leadership expertise that continues to strengthen his approach to social impact. He established Hetch Foundation in year 2003 with a clear purpose to address pressing social challenges through structured, sustainable, and community-driven interventions. Deeply moved by the hardships faced by individuals and communities, he envisioned an institution that would not only create awareness but also empower people to become active participants in driving meaningful and lasting change. Over the past two decades, under his visionary leadership, Hetch Foundation has grown into a credible and impact-driven organization. Its sustained progress reflects his strategic approach, commitment to transparency, and focus on delivering measurable outcomes. By fostering strong stakeholder engagement and adopting a people-centric approach, he has ensured that the Foundation’s initiatives remain relevant, scalable, and impactful. Demonstrating a strong commitment to road safety, he initiated the nationwide movement “HarGhar Se EkSainik” more than six years ago to address the issue of road safety and preventable fatalities. The initiative focuses on promoting responsible behavior and fostering a culture where road safety becomes a lifelong habit. Syed Abdul Hakeem is a patron member of the Indian Red Cross Society and is also a member of several national and international organizations, as well as humanitarian aid bodies. His active association with these institutions reflects his deep-rooted commitment to social welfare, compassion-driven leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility towards community upliftment and collaborative development. A professional fashion and jewellery designer and entrepreneur, she has brought both imagination and grounded problem-solving into her social work. At Hetch Foundation, she has played a central role in building and guiding programmes that help women move toward financial independence, dignity, and self-belief. Her work has included skill development in tailoring, fashion designing, beautician training, and other livelihood-oriented areas, with a clear focus on helping women stand on their own feet and build a more secure future for themselves and their families. Hetch Foundation functions and serves without any discrimination based on religion, region, caste, race, gender, political affiliation, or any other bias, and is solely committed to the betterment of society and the upliftment of underprivileged communities. Her involvement has gone beyond training alone. She has helped ensure that support continues into the next stages of real life, through access to sewing machines, bank linkages, government schemes, and the formation of self-help groups that have opened the way for small businesses, cottage industries, and community resilience. Under her leadership and guidance, thousands of women have been reached directly and indirectly, with many moving toward greater financial stability, confidence, and decision making strength. Her work has also extended into humanitarian service through blood donation efforts, winter relief, food support, and care for the elderly, reflecting the same compassion-led approach that has shaped Hetch Foundation’s larger public mission. As a Vice President - North Zone, Ajay Malik leads state operations of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and union territories of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh. He strengthens stakeholder engagement, and drives the execution of key initiatives in alignment with the organization’s mission. He plays a crucial role in building strategic partnerships, coordinating teams, and ensuring the efficient implementation of programs across the region, contributing to the organization’s outreach and impact. With diverse experience across telecom, infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, and event management, Ajay Malik brings strong expertise in project liaison, client relationship management, vendor coordination, and business development. His professional journey includes roles with MTNL projects, factory operations, Ansals Properties, and NHAI road projects, where he worked closely with both government authorities and international partners. He graduated from DAV College, Chandigarh and is guided by a strong legacy of public service his father, Late Shri Dharam Bir Malik, served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Government of India, and his maternal grandfather, Late Shri Jagannath Kaushal, was a former Law Minister of India and Governor of Bihar. Ajay Malik’s core strengths lie in his strong communication skills, practical problem- solving approach, and ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments with ease. He is highly effective in building trust-based relationships, coordinating diverse teams, and ensuring seamless execution of projects under dynamic conditions.
